Kathleen Joan Stava Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathleen Joan Stava of Grand Island, Nebraska, who passed away on May 24, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Ryan and Dorothy Ryan (Knight); her sisters, Dolores Call and Joyce Seidel; her nephew Lonnie Dickson; and her nieces, Cindy Willey and Debbie Calhoun.
She is survived by: her husband Ted Stava; her children, Becky, Rebecca Hicklin (Stuart) of Fort Collins, CO, Shane Stava (Lisa) of Grand Island and Christi Rein (Jim) of Grand Island; her grandchildren, Spencer, Riley Hicklin, Olivia, Graham Stava and JT Rein; her siblings, Bill Ryan (Joyce) of Grand Island, Janet Judy of Neligh and Lois Sheffield of Lincoln; and her caregivers, Sarah, Heidi and Jarah.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (518 W State St, Grand Island, NE 68801). A rosary was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Grand Island Central Catholic.
