It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Oleta Marie (Higday) Lamphiear (Grand Island, Nebraska), born in Kellerton, Iowa, who passed away on August 19, 2007, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Oleta passed away at home, on a Sunday, the day of the week she found most lonely. Oleta never met a stranger and loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist church and found comfort in her faith. She baked the most delicious bread, pies and cakes from scratch.
