It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine M. Tonniges of Gresham, Nebraska, born in Shelby, Nebraska, who passed away on June 17, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Ernest Coufal and Mary Coufal (Janousek); her husband Floyd Tonniges; her children, Dr. Tom Tonniges, Susie Ocken and Terry Tonniges (Sherry) of Gresham; her children-in-law, Jane Tonniges of Omaha, NE and Dennis Ocken of Elwood, NE.; and her grandchildren, Nicci Williamson (Mark) of Gilbert, AZ, Chad Tonniges (Joy) of Lincoln, Emily Tonniges of Omaha, Chris Tonniges (Lindsey) of Omaha, Betsy Bergman (Jesse) of Lincoln, Amy Dunn (Wade) of Dodge City, KS, Nick Pieper (Kristi) of York and Jeff Pieper (Kelsey) of York. She was also cherished by 20 great-grandchildren.
COVID 19 Funeral Guidelines will be implemented with limited spaced seating and masks encouraged.
Memorials may be directed to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
