He was predeceased by : his siblings, Frances, Edna, Leonard, Walt, Willard and Ray; and his son-in-law Michael Swanson.

He is survived by : his wife Theresa; his children, Patricia Thieman, Larry Thieman of Emerson, NE, Kenneth, Joanie Fuchtman of Omaha, NE, Mary and Ed Alexander of Omaha, NE; his grandchildren, Corey Thieman (Aysha), Chris Thieman (Morgan), Justin Kathol (Angie), Shannon Bozzuto (Chris), Nichole Kathol and Ryan Weaver; his great grandchildren, David, Gavin, Zavier Thieman, Owen Kathol, Soren Bozzuto, Vaida, Solia Bozzuto and Meryl Kathol; and his siblings, Margaret Focht of Lewiston, Florence Hasenpflug of Phoenix, AZ and Joseph Fuchtman of Creighton, NE. He is also survived by his parents, infant brother.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Hartington, NE.
