She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond McDermott and Cecilia Wickham McDermott; her stepmother Loretta Menzies McDermott; her brother Nick McDermott; and her granddaughter Raelynn Karabel Dobrovolny.
She is survived by: her husband John; her children, Joe Dobrovolny (Pam) of Elkhorn, NE, Steve Dobrovolny (Betty) of Hastings, NE, Mary Kay Dobrovolny and NJ; her sister Pat McDermott; and her grandchildren, Dustin Dobrovolny (Cassie) of Hastings, NE, Michelle Dobrovolny of Phoenix, AZ, Kurtis Dobrovolny of Kearney, NE, Jacob Dobrovolny (Hannah) of Grand Island, NE, Zachary Dobrovolny (Dana) of Omaha, NE and Catelynn Dobrovolny of Hastings, NE. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, siblings-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A rosary will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center (1225 N Elm Ave, Hastings, NE 68901). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (721 Creighton Ave, Hastings, NE 68901).
Memorials may be given to the Hastings Catholic Schools.
