He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl Hendrickson and Ruth Hendrickson (Bosserman); and his significant other Carol. He is survived by : his children, Julie Ford and Mark Hendrickson (Daryl); and his grandsons, Ian and Zachary Ford. He is also survived by extended family and friends.

In 2010, the Holdrege Area Chamber of Commerce recognized Bruce and Carol for their lifetime service and contributions to the community.
