He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Johnson and Lyla Johnson (Welsh); his parents-in-law, Floyd and Mildred Lane (Runcie); his siblings, DeLyle (Katie Johnson), Donald (Betty Johnson) and Dorene Barnes; and his brothers-in-law, Ronald, Jackie Lane and Gary Jensen.
He is survived by: his wife Genny Johnson of Holdrege; his children, Kathy McInturf (Brad) of Holdrege and Craig Johnson (Diane) of Cortland, Nebraska; his grandson Jared Johnson (Jessica) of Lincoln, Nebraska; his great grandchildren, Eli, Zack and Jase Johnson; his siblings, Dean Johnson (Shirley) of Fullerton, Nebraska, Darlene Jensen of North Loup, Nebraska, Deanna Barta of Elyria, Nebraska and Delores Bennett (Allen) of Palmer, Nebraska; and his brother-in-law Byron Barnes. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial has been established in Darwin's honor and kindly suggested to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Christian Homes Care Community.
