He was predeceased by: his parents, Berthold E. Gruhn and Ella A. Gruhn (Ohlmann); his parents-in-law, Wilbur and Doris Ekdahl; and his sister Lois Burns (Gruhn).
He is survived by: his wife Linda L. Ekdahl of Holdrege; his children, Neil Gruhn (Deniah) of Wilcox, Nebraska and Cheryl Gruhn of Overland Park, Kansas; his grandsons, Anthony Gruhn (Sayleigh) of Minden, Nebraska and Cody Gruhn (Callie) of Tallahassee, Florida; his great grandchildren, Adalynn, Hayleigh, Brecklyn and Rhett; his siblings, Lavonne Boettcher (Ronnie) of Rake, Iowa, Florence Natzke (Bob) of Wayside, Wisconsin and Virgil Gruhn (Sharon) of Ravenna; and his siblings-in-law, Bob Ekdahl (Annie) of Omaha, Nebraska, Tom Ekdahl (Pat) of Fremont, Nebraska, Susan Morris of Mountain Home, Idaho and Cathy Janssen (Mike) of Norfolk, Nebraska. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Due to health concerns, regarding the COVID-19 pandemic; current CDC and Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services guidelines for Faith-Based Services will be followed.
A memorial has been established in Roger's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
