He is survived by: his wife Sharon of Hooper; his son David Thernes (LaRae) of Hooper; his daughter-in-law Jill Thernes-Karloff of Omaha; his son Dean Thernes (Tammy) of Norfolk; his grandchildren, Tyler Thernes, Elizabeth Pierson (Brock), Matt Thernes (Marcy), Katie Hrabik Brooke Thernes (Fiancé Jake Johnson), Jackie Stejskal (Daniel) and Kristen Brandt (Phil); his great grandchildren, Lindley, Hadley, Holden Stejskal, Reagan, Harrison, Linkoln Brandt Kobe, Brody Thernes, Parker Hrabik and Lily Hrabik; his siblings, Kenny Thernes (Berniece) of Hooper, Marjorie Gnuse (Arlen) of Fremont Julene and Karloff; his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Bohling (Gerald) of Hooper Donna and Kriete of Hooper Louis; his son Danny; his brother LeRoy; and his brothers-in-law, Willie Bopp and Wayne Bartling.
