It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen D. Verraneault of Kearney, Nebraska, born in McCook, Nebraska, who passed away on January 31, 2021, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her father Clayton "Beenie"; her sister Jennifer; and her parents-in-law, Margaret and Lionel Verraneault (Boz). She is survived by : her mother Mary "Vel" Harmon (Koetter); her significant other Steve Verraneault; her children, Andrea Mack (Matthew) of Grand Island, Gregory Verraneault (Nicole) of Omaha and Matthew Verraneault of Omaha; her grandchildren, Aaron, Jared, Willa Mack, Lily, Maci and Piper Verraneault; her brother Kurt Harmon (Patty) of Torrington, WY; her nieces and nephews, John, Ben and Caitlin; her siblings-in-law, Carol and Larry Ommert of Cambridge; her nephew Eric (Jessica); her aunts and uncles, Sharon Koetter, Art Koetter of McCook, Jim and Barb Koetter of Pocatello, ID; and also, Jeff, Tim (Chrystal) and Ryan Ommert (Monica). She is also survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, and friends.

Due to the current mask mandate, a face mask is required by those attending the service, and all social distancing guidelines will be followed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. James Catholic Church, C.H.I. Health Regional Cancer Center at Good Samaritan Hospital, or scholarships in her honor for her grandchildren.
