With profound sadness, we say goodbye to William F. Ward (La Vista, Nebraska), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. William left this world on December 6, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Amil and Helen Dworak (Donna S.); his son Jeff Ward; and his sisters, Jean Nekola and Kay Prugger.
He is survived by: his daughter Carol Malcom (David); his stepdaughter Melissa Lappat (Rodney); and his granddaughters, Alexandra Chase, Katelyn Malcom, Lacee Malcom, Madison Lappat and Stella Lappat.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bethany Funeral Home & Cremation Service (8201 Harrison St, La Vista, NE 68128). A rosary will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Gerald Catholic Church (9602 Q St, Omaha, NE 68127). A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Saint John Cemetery (7506 S 36th St, Bellevue, NE 68147).
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations my be directed to the American Cancer Society.
