He was predeceased by: his wife Sue Carol Rohde (Petersen); his sister Dorothy Andersen; and his parents, Theodore Rohde and Frieda Rohde. He is survived by: his sons, John Robert and Joel Richard; his daughter-in-law Suzanne; his grandchildren, John Aiden, Charles Asher, Elizabeth Aubrey and Jackson Robert Rohde; and his siblings, Marjorie Wyatt (Rohde) and Theodore "Bud" Rohde.
