He was predeceased by : his parents, Bert Hartman and Marguerite Hartman; his siblings, Fay Hartman, Shirley Hammer (Ken) and Donna Beck (Jerry); his son-in-law Dennis Schutt; and his grandson Micah Lynn Hartman.
He is survived by : his children, Monte Hartman of Casper, WY, Debra "Deb" Schutt of Sioux City, IA and Troy Hartman of Laurel; his spouse Derwin Hartman (Alice) of Elkhorn, NE; and his sisters, Mildred Christiansen of Elkhorn and Sharon Breitkreutz (Russ) of Wisner. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother.
