He was predeceased by: his parents, Sanford Nelson and Kathryn Nelson (McEveny); and his siblings, Kenneth, Sanford and Alva Kareen Stoll.

He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Daharsh; his sons, Duayne (Jami Eirick) and Dennis (Lesli Nesmith); his grandchildren, Benjamin, Lindsay, Angela and Ethan; and his great grandchildren, Reagan, Piper and Beck.
