She was predeceased by: her parents, Frans Emanuel (Frank) and Hazel Gray Hafdell; and her former husband Bob Adkisson. She is survived by: her sisters-in-law, Virgie and Fern; her brother George; her stepmother Nora Feezer Hafdell; her husband Lansing Gabel; and her daughters, Susan, Cindy and Lana. She is also survived by her daughters, numerous grand and great grandchildren.
In her last years before the pandemic, she traveled frequently to California, scouring flea markets for treasures to take home and enjoying time at the beach.
