It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harold Matthes (Lincoln, Nebraska), who passed away on April 5, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Matthes and Marie Matthes (Borgmann); and his siblings, Vernon and LaVerne Fuchshuher. He is survived by: his wife Carole; his daughters, Chris Barnett and Susan Saxton; his grandchildren, James, Catherine Barnett, Krista and Kaley Hinrichs; and his brother-in-law George Firchow. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Memorials may be given to Christ Lutheran Church or to the family for future designation.
