The memory of Jl L. Schmidt of Centralia, Illinois, who passed away on April 21, 2024 at the age of 77, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by : his parents, Leslie Schmidt and Esther Schmidt; and his siblings, Roger and Barbara Estergard of Nixa, Missouri.. He is survived by : his sons, Ryan Schmidt (Meghan) and Tyler Schmidt of Lincoln; his sister Yvonne Alexander of Denver; and his granddaughters, Annika Bowman of North Platte and Lennon Layne Schmidt of Lincoln.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 10:25 AM at the Southview Baptist Church (3434 S 13th St, Lincoln, NE 68502). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials go to Southview Baptist Church for later designation to recovery ministries.
