She was predeceased by: her parents, Wes Able and Betty Able of Nemaha, Nebraska.; her siblings, John and Pat; and her nephews, Derek Behrends and Chris Gerdes.

She is survived by: her daughters, Amanda and Andrea Sigwing of Lincoln, Nebraska; her stepdaughter Tammy Schomaker (Scott) of Elmwood; her sister Sue Biltoft (Steve) of Palmyra; her nieces and nephews, Dana Gerdes of Johnson, Trisha Plate (Nick) of Cairo, Jarod King (Kyisha) of Statesville, Matt Easton (Tonya) of Ashland and Wade Easton of Palmyra; her stepgranddaughter Makenna Schomaker; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Cedric (Celia), Eliah, Alerik, Josias, Levi, Malachi, Sophia, Isabella Gerdes, Adrienne Luehm (Lance), Alec, Delaney, Cambree Plate, Marissa Dalton (Reid), Madison, Maci and Malia Easton. She is also survived by many great-great nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Syracuse United Methodist Church (560 6th St, Syracuse, NE 68446). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Mount Vernon Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Kay's memory.
