He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen J. Whitmarsh and Thelma E. Whitmarsh (Boyd) of Mt. Pleasant. He is survived by: his son Phillip; his grandsons, Harrison Whitmarsh (Madison Neal) of Portland and Blake Cummings of Missouri Valley; his daughter Karen; his granddaughter Rachel; his cousin Patricia (Whitmarsh); and his friend Carolyn S. Harp of Lincoln.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested for Westminster Presbyterian Church's Mission and Outreach Ministry, or Nebraskans For Peace.
