She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil "Tom" and Ella Sunderman (Maurer); her husband Harold John Schmidt; her brothers, Eugene "Bud" Sunderman and Don Sunderman (Jean); her siblings-in-law, Della (Schmidt), Herbert Schmidt (Vera) and John Schmidt (Mary Ann); and her great grandchild Logan Schmidt.

She is survived by: her children, Dennis Schmidt (DiAnne), Dean Schmidt (Audrey), Ron Schmidt (Cheryl), Greg Schmidt (Kathy), Cindy Schmidt, Carol Schmidt-Roesler (Monty) and Jerry Schmidt (Jeanette); her brother Rich Sunderman (Shirley); and her sister-in-law Dona Sunderman. She is also survived by grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
