It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Merle Cheek (Maxwell, Nebraska), born in Prairie City, Illinois, who passed away on July 23, 2021, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, John Cheek and Ina Cheek; and his siblings, Russell, George and Alice Rambo.
He is survived by : his wife Stella Donovan of Maxwell; his children, George Cheek (Janice) of Maxwell, Warren Cheek (Carol) of LaGrange, WY, Lavon Cheek of Steamboat Springs, CO and Donna Mahnken (Gary) of North Platte; his grandchildren, Kris Cheek (Natalie), Tara Kautz (Jeff), Silas Cheek (Amanda), Elaine Cheek (Nora), Charissa Cole (Ethan), Michael Mahnken (Cassandra) and Katie Mahnken; and his great grandchildren, Taylor, Jocelyn, Kristyn, Kristopher, Josiah, Kate, Emma, Isaac and Isabella.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are to Maranatha Bible Camp.
