She was predeceased by : her parents, Oscar E. Henderson and Sylvia L. Henderson (Witherow); and her siblings, George, Raymond and Mary Lee.

She is survived by : her husband Ervin Lee Bates of Nehawka, NE; her children, Michelle Adkins (Stanley) of Nehawka, NE and Brian Bates (Kay) of Syracuse, NE; her grandchildren, Jonathan Speed, Jayden Speed, Addison Bates and Garret Bates; and her sister Vicky Avery of Nebr.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the United Methodist Church in Nehawka, NE.
