We bid farewell to Margaret Ann Kirkland of North Platte, Nebraska, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 20, 2025 at the age of 76. Margaret touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wirges and Mabel Wirges (Zwingman) of Petersburg, NE.; her husband Kraig Kirkland of Grand Island; her brothers-in-law, Kenneth Kirkland and Jerry Stoltenberg; and her in-laws, Laurence and Lora Kirkland.
She is survived by: her children, Clint of Lincoln, Debra Houser (Eric) of Kearney and Amy Dorenbach (Brandon) of Lincoln; her grandsons, Austin Houser (Bailee) of Gibbon, Tanner Houser of Kearney, Jackson and Easton Dorenbach of Lincoln; her great grandchild Connor Houser; her brother Larry Wirges (Joanie) of Petersburg; and her siblings-in-law, Karl Kirkland, Kevin Kirkland (Helen), Kohl Kirkland (Amanda), Kalene Sherffius (Maurice), Kim McBride (Ron), Karen Rohweder (Todd) and Lisa Kirkland. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Meg was on the Miss Nebraska State Board of Directors and a member of North Platte RSVP and enjoyed volunteering at Great Plains Health where she started helping at the information desk and then transferred to the gift shop.
