He was predeceased by: his cousin Jeremy Hartshorn; and his grandparents, Doris Zarbock, William Zarbock, Opa, Fred, Oma and Gertrude Ziel.
He is survived by: his wife Kimberly; his children, Alexander Ziel of North Platte and Tasia Soto of North Platte; his parents, Reinhold Ziel of Windsor, CO and Twila Ziel of Windsor, CO; his siblings, Laura Milke (Zach) of Durango, CO, Christina Sutter (Joey) of Severance, CO and Shan Ziel (Kristy) of Westminster, CO; his nieces and nephews, Avalon, Blythe, Vialiant and Erik; and his cousins, Amy Fiedler and Sunday Landgraf.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are to the North Platte Opportunity Center.
