He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Priefert and Gertrude Priefert (Dill); his wife Nancy Priefert (Goldsberry); his great grandchild Francesca Lutz-Priefert; his siblings, Darlene Priefert, Lee Priefert (Dorothy) and Marvin Priefert; his siblings-in-law, Peggy Priefert, Myrna Priefert, Bill Ladehoff and Mike Hamontree; and his close friend Janet Hight.

He is survived by : his grandchildren, Zach Lutz-Priefert (Megan), Chuck Lutz-Priefert, Heather Rogge (Brent), Hillary Campbell (Curtis), Hannah Kostal and Steven Kostal (Pam); his great grandchildren, Elizabeth Lutz-Priefert, Hadlee, Hoyt Rogge, Kendyll Campbell, Jaden Oberembt, Raleigh O'Neil and Steven Carver Kostal; his siblings, Arlene Hamontree of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Corbin Priefert of Texas and Lonnie Priefert (Margaret) of Beatrice; and his siblings-in-law, Johnni Foster of Mt. Pleasant, Judy Ladehoff of Oberlin, Kansas and Tim Goldsberry (Donna) of Lincoln. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
