We are sad to announce that on January 23, 2021, at the age of 97, Walter C. Shanek (Odell, Nebraska) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Walter C. Shanek to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Shanek and Julia Shanek (Matthews); his wife Betty Shanek; his sister Mildred Spitsnogle; his brother-in-law Everett; his nephew Daniel Spitsnogle; his sister Doris Riggert; and his brother-in-law Henry Riggert.

He is survived by : his children, Jerry Lee Shanek (Janice DeMont) of Macomb, MI and Cheryl Ann Laux of Bridgeport, NE. He is also survived by six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials will be given to the Odell United Methodist Church and Odell Cemetery.
