She was predeceased by: her parents-in-law, Vincent Carlson and Marie Carlson; and her brother-in-law Pete Wagner. She is survived by: her parents, Leroy Biesecker and Doris Biesecker (Detenbeck); her sister Joyce Central; her husband Wayne Carlson; her children, David Carlson (Deborah) of Lebanon and Nancy Carlson of Holdrege; her grandchildren, John Carlson of Anchorage, Daniel Carlson of Longview, Anna of Lebanon, Elisabeth of Lebanon and Joel Carlson of Lebanon; her siblings, Gary Biesecker (Vivian) of High Point and Cheryl May (Kent) of Hays Center; her siblings-in-law, Warner Carlson (Janice) of Holdrege, John Carlson (Valene) of Lincoln and Joanne Carlson of Wellington; her aunt Dorothy Detenbeck of Raymond; and also Omaha Central. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

It was Bette's desire, in lieu of flowers that memorial gifts be given in her honor to the Christian Homes Care Community Chapel, or Gideons International.
