Helen was predeceased by: husbands, Fred Kruse and Herbert Shelton; parents, Henry Engel and Gladys Engel; and siblings, Leona Edgar, Marguerite Smith and Donald Engel.

Helen is survived by: sisters, Lorene Frerichs and Arlene Mathews. Helen is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
