It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Henry Gerety Jr. (Omaha, Nebraska), born in Klamath Falls, Oregon, who passed away on May 19, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Sr. Gerety and Florence "Nell" Gerety (Miller). He is survived by: his wife Jeanine Ruth Lange; his children, Kathryn Friedman (Michael), Sheila Tu (Jeremy), Thomas Gerety (Hiromi), Moira Neal (Tim), Kevin Gerety (Kim) and Mason Gerety (Marsha); and his grandchildren, Daniel, Jacob, Benjamin Friedman, Alexandra "Lexi", Kristiana "Triana", Michal, Izac Tu, Adam, Liam, Kincaid, Galen Gerety, Nora Jamilkowsky (Josh) and Helen Heyden (Rhys). He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Concordia Lutheran Schools-Omaha, or the Lutheran Heritage Foundation.
