He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ellen Jaunty; his parents, Joseph, Sr. Jaunty and Ruth Jaunty; his brother Bill Jaunty; and his daughter-in-law Liz Westphalen Jaunty.

He is survived by: his children, Joe "Jeff" Jaunty, Mark Jaunty and Jill Jaunty (Kevin Knutson); his grandchildren, Kris Nice (Nick) and Alicia Jaunty; his great grandchild Will Nice; and his sister Jeanne Christianson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
