Though Kevin Thomas may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis "Bud" Thomas Hester and Mary Evelyn VanDyne-Hester (Carney); and his brother Larry VanDyne. He is survived by: his daughter Samantha Hester of Plattsmouth, NE; his granddaughter Silver; and his siblings, Sherry Phillips (Richard) of Green Pond, SC, Robert VanDyne (Randeen) of Plattsmouth, NE, Mark VanDyne of Council Bluffs, IA and Daniel Hester of Derby, KS. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Roby Funeral Home (346 A Avenue, Plattsmouth, NE 68048). A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (149 Oak Hill Rd, Plattsmouth, NE 68048).
