He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Summer and Avis Summer (Ernest); his sister Darlene Kirkpatrick (Morris); and his niece Roxanne Kirkpatrick. He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Danny Kirkpatrick (Ginger) of Sioux Falls, Gary Kirkpatrick of Blair and Terri Krysl (Kipton) of O'Neill; and his great-nieces, Casey Kirkpatrick (Angie), Shawn Kirkpatrick Joseph (Tiffany), Ryan Kirkpatrick (Mandy), Jennifer Schmaderer (Jeff), Chuck Krysl and Kelli Munoz (Jesse).
