He was predeceased by: his siblings, Laurence Ahlers (Gladys), Walter Ahlers (Betty), Linda Lunderborg (Roger) and Arlen Ahlers. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Ahlers of O'Neill; his children, Steven Ahlers (Patti) of Bettendorf, Marion Ortmeier (Ed) of Norfolk, Richard Ahlers (Jana) of Chappell Hill, Carol Roth (Randy) of Conroe, Daniel Ahlers (Tara) of Naper and Lisa Reiman (Casey) of Butte; his grandchildren, Tim Ahlers, Ryan Ahlers (Lynn), Laura Peitz (Nick), Nick Ortmeier (Sarah), Greg Ortmeier (Anne), Annie Ecabert (Craig), Suzi Haugly (Mike), Michael John DeChellis (Michal Lea), Matthew DeChellis (Anna Maria), Maria Senftleber, Crystal Kimbrough, Lance Roth (Julie), Katelyn Helberg (Tom), Sarah Roth, Luke Roth, Cynthia Titus, Jason Titus, Logan Titus, Macy Ahlers, Blake Ahlers, Brooke Kruger (Tad), Dylan Reiman (Laura) and Evan Reiman; and his sister-in-law Dottie Ahlers of Pierce. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
