She was predeceased by : her parents, Hans Simonsen and Adeline "Lena" Simonsen (Tonjes); her husband Kenneth Dale Carlsten; her daughter Stacey Alexander; her siblings, Elwood, Eugene, Ardell, Arthur, Don, Ilene, Hazel, Helen, Eleanor and Carole; her nephews, Gary Simonsen and Glen Simonsen; and her great-nephew Jeff Simonsen.
She is survived by : her daughters, Rhonda Cahill (Ken) of Sioux Falls, SD and Natalie Gier (Robert) of Lincoln, NE; her son-in-law Dale Alexander of Lincoln, NE; her grandchildren, Megan Hand (Dominic), Kevin Cahill (Julie), Katelin, MaKenna Gier, Jordan and Jaci Alexander; her great grandchildren, Elena, Caleb, Isaac Hand, Jack and Quinn Cahill; and her sisters-in-law, Betty Simonsen and Marzee Conway (Ian). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
