He is survived by: his children, Scott Monthey (Stephanie) of Holdrege, Shane Monthey (Michelle Hamaker) of Overton and Stephanie Holt (Ryan) of Holdrege; his grandchildren, Shelby Holmes (Blade), Grace Goodwin (Kyle), Riley Monthey, Chelsey Monthey, Katie Cunningham, Megan Monthey, Shanay Monthey, Michael McConnell, Brandie McConnell, Celeena Pedersen (Kyle), Clayton Holt (Jordin) and Carson Holt; and his brothers, Gerald Wagnitz and Ron Wagnitz. He is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended relatives and close friends.
