He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Pfenning and Marie Pfenning (Gettman); his wife Ruth of Scottsbluff; his children, Paul Pfenning of Castle Rock, CO, Nancy Cokely (Jeff) of Iola, KS and John Pfenning (Linda) of Council Bluffs, IA; his grandchildren, Kaeli, Carlene Pfenning, Becca Pfenning, Alaina Butterworth, Cody and Zachary Cokely; his nephew Rich Tyser; and his sister Mary Ann Tyser.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials in Don's honor be made in care of Bible Baptist Church of Scottsbluff, Camp Rock at Bridgeport, or Lone Eagle Honor Flight of Chadron.
