She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gordon (Jack) and Catherine Camille Elliott (Leyda); her sisters, Betty Metcalf (Al), Katy Yaley (Roy) and Jean Westervelt; her brother-in-law R. L. Massey (Jean); and her niece Nancy Yaley.
She is survived by: her husband James D. Massey; her children, Jim Jr. (Barbie), John (Megan) and Sandy; her grandsons, Trevor (Leah), Jack, Ryan (Katlyn) and Jake; her great grandchildren, Liam, Elliott, Blake and Tennasyn; and her brother-in-law Ted Westervelt of Scottsbluff. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dodie's memory to the First United Methodist Church Choir Fund or the Regional West Medical Center Foundation.
