He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George E Bott Sr. and Dorothy Bott (Schaeffer); his wife Wilma Bott (Weinmeister); his son Doug Bott (Roxanne) of Sheridan, WY; his grandchildren, Adam Bott (Meggie) and Kyle Bott (Kayla); his daughter Carolyn Saunders of Erie, CO; his grandchildren, Lindsay Saunders and Trevor Saunders; his daughter Michele Willey of Lakeland, FL; his grandchildren, Jared Willey, Tanner Willey and Travis Willey (Alexus); his great grandchildren, Scarlett and Henri; his daughter Linda Cale (Michael); and his granddaughters, Olivia Johnson and Hannah Johnson of Simpsonville, SC.. He was also cherished by his children and grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in his honor to the Nebraska Veteran's Home, KCMI Radio or Emmanuel Congregational Church.
