He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sr. Abel and Amelia Abel. He is survived by: his brother Robert; his wife Pat; his son Greg Abel (Amy); his granddaughter Sabrina; and his siblings-in-law, Charlene Speer (Glenn), Francis Abel (Leonard) and Bill Henderson (Lenore). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
