He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Macken and Julia Macken; his wife Iris Killday; and his siblings, Eugene, Donald and Anna Mae Forsythe.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen of Colorado Springs, Colo., Julia Marshall (Daniel J.) of Scottsbluff, Anne Davey (Phil), James of Rapid City, SD and Laura West (Jeff) of Gettysburg, Penn.; his grandchildren, Anna Hanna (Drew) of Westminster, Colo., John Marshall (Katy) of Scottsbluff, Aaron Shafenberg (Emily) of Thornton, Colo., Reid Shafenberg (Katie) of Thornton, Colo., Kate Macken of Arlington, VA., Courtney West of Denver, Colo. and Brooke West of Clearwater, FL; his great grandchildren, Aydan, Asher, Ella, Cruise, Ledger, Svea, Elin Shafenberg, Rhett, Kane Marshall, Austin and Connor Hanna; and his brother-in-law Patrick Killday (Marlene). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family respectfully requests that in lieu of any flowers, memorials in James' honor may be made to St. Agnes Catholic School Foundation.
