She was predeceased by: her parents, George Warren and Verna Evelyn Garber (Harvey); and her husband Edward Lee Spurgeon. She is survived by: her children, Elaine Eastep of Omaha, Linda Corr of Lincoln, Susan Lindhorst (Dave) of Gering and William Spurgeon (Cindy) of Scottsbluff; and her grandchildren, Kris Hansen (Rick), Kim Latacha (Matthew), Joe Eastep (Lindsey), Janelle Corr, Tracy Johnsen, Erin Miller (Don), Amanda Selzer (Adam), Tyler Lindhorst (Ashley), Travis Lindhorst (Katie), Zachary Spurgeon (Becky) and Jonathan Spurgeon (Stephanie). She is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the Legacy of the Plains Museum or the Panhandle Humane Society.
