He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Castaneda Sr. and Pauline Lutz; his grandparents, Santos Francisco and Narcissa Castaneda (Vargas); and his siblings, Josefina Esparza, Frances Porras, Esther Castaneda, Christina Sanchez, Pauline Bailon, Mary Giron, Howard Castaneda and Roland Castaneda.
He is survived by: his wife Marcella; his children, Santos, Ralph Allen (Vickie), Armand, Reynold (Kelly), Alex (Kim), Barbara Darr (Joseph) and Yolanda Bowman; and his sisters, Cartina Giron and Carmen Trevino (Gilbert). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
