She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Hirsch and Leona Hirsch (Tangerman); her husband Melvin Real; and her son-in-law Jay Shuken. She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Guterriez and Beverly Shuken; her siblings, Bernard Hirsch and Elaine Nelson; and her grandchildren, Kristen Wheeler, Ryan Shuken, Andrew Guterriez, Jaisa Guterriez and Jake Gutierrez. She is also survived by two great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shelton.
