It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol L. Reis of South Sioux City, Nebraska, born in Sioux City, Iowa, who passed away on September 9, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Byron Mendel and Helen M. Carnes (Craswell); her husbands, Neil Hoch and Paul Reis; her son Timothy "Tim" Reis; her son-in-law David R. Jensen; and her brothers, Bobby Carnes and Don Carnes.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Paul Reis (Nancy) of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Mark Lynn Reis (Sara) of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Connie Lou Jensen of St. Ansgar, Gail Ann Provin (Keith) of Iowa City and Mary Helen Reis of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; and her sister Joyce McClintock of Garner, Iowa. She is also survived by 11 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
In her later years, she crafted receiving blankets, hooded bath blankets and donated stuffed animals to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.
