She was predeceased by: her parents, George W. Phillips and Gladys E. Phillips (Moody); her husband Wendell; and her son Steve "Moose" Headrick. She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Jane Headrick of Superior, NE; her children, Ron Headrick (Glenda) of Waverly, IA and Nancy Brandt (Darrell) of Superior, NE; and her grandchildren, Sarah Kirchhoff (Mike) of Hardy, NE, Christina Flaata of Superior, NE, Elizabeth Ginther (Taylor) of Courtland, KS, Susannah Headrick of Flagstaff, AZ, Darrell Headrick of Lincoln, NE, Denise Miller (Matt) of Iowa City, IA, Nathan Headrick (Jodi) of Ames, IA, Lora Albert (Brian) of Tiffin, IA, Lee Brandt (Sara) of Parker, CO, Maggie Bottom (Michael) of Sanford, NC and Eric Brandt of Superior, NE. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren and her daughter.

Although COVID made it difficult for friends and family to visit, she kept herself busy writing and reading when able.
