It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanne Grone (Superior, Nebraska), born in Davenport, Nebraska, who passed away on April 15, 2019, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Fuhrer and Eva Fuhrer (Hoover); her husband Harley Grone; her siblings, Merle Fuhrer and Carlene Lambert; and her daughter Julie Lichty.
She is survived by: her sisters, Lorita Johnson of Oshkosh, NE and Nancy Mileger (Valdean) of Aurora, CO; her siblings-in-law, Bea Behnke (Melvin) of Lyons, KS and Hollis Grone of Davenport, NE; her children, Dennis Grone (Loma) of Davenport, NE and Marcia Sansom (Charlie) of Eudora, KS; her son-in-law Lon Lichty of Carleton, NE; her grandchildren, Brock Grone of Dallas, TX, Heath Grone (Angie) of Filley, NE, Hilary Bortner (Heath) of Curtis, NE, Marianne Blackwell (Seth) of Los Alamos, NM, Malissa Hammond (Justin) of Chattanooga, TN and Mallory Sansom of Searcy, AR; and her great grandchildren, Harley, Hunter, Heston, Hayes, Barrett, Blayden and Domino. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
