It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Darlene Marie Vauck of Sutton, Nebraska, born in Grafton, Nebraska, who passed away on September 9, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Herman Henry Ulmer and Martha Ulmer (Nicolaus); her brother Maurice Lyle; her husband Ralph "Bud"; and her grandson Clayton Metcalf.
She is survived by : her brother Harris Ulmer of North Platte, NE; her daughters, Diane Overturf (John) of Edgar, NE, Carol Friesen (Ken) of Hampton, NE, Patricia Metcalf (Mark) of Sutton, NE and Judy Hoffman (Dan) of Kearney, NE; and her grandchildren, Mina Nutter (Brett) of Geneva, NE, Jerry Overturf (Becky) of Sutton, NE, Leann Smith (Adam) of Lexington, NE, Keenan Friesen (Liz) of Sutton, NE, Bennett Friesen of Aurora, NE, Garett Hoffman (Andrea) of Kearney, NE and Stuart Hoffman (Laura) of Kearney, NE. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
In honoring Darlene's wishes there will not be visitation or viewing. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Federated Church in Sutton, NE. Due to the COVID-19 Directed Health Measure Phase III, we are limited to 50% occupancy for the Funeral Service and we will be practicing social distancing as indicated by the measure.
