He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Smith (Burke) and Allan G Smith. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Smith (Holmgren) of Mission; his daughters, Kristine Lewis (Loren) of Nisland, SD, Lisa Swenson of Cando, ND and Emily Bukaske (Kerry) of York, NE; his grandchildren, Eric Lewis (Laura), Eron Lewis (Danielle), Elise Strickland (Jesse), Katie Escobar (Esaú), Amy Borys (Jeff), Victor Swenson, Jonathan Swenson, Tristan Bukaske (Yadira), Trevor Bukaske (Emily) and Trey Bukaske; his brother Darrel Smith (Iris) of Valentine, NE; his cousins, Cecil Smith of Fort Myers, FL and Jim Smith of Urbana, MO; and his aunt Norma Bennett of Hayward, CA. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
