She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Althouse and Marian Althouse (Cooley); her siblings, Louise Reed and Don Althouse (Darlene); her son-in-law Steven Scholl; her grandson Matthew Kirchhoff; her sister-in-law Marlene Althouse; and her nephews, Dan Althouse, Ted and Alan Reed.
She is survived by: her children, Clayton Maahs (Drenda) of Bennet, Gordon Maahs (Jule) of Bennet, Duane Maahs (Sandy) of Lincoln, Mindy Smith of Lincoln, Marilyn Kirchhoff (Craig) and Cara Scholl. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 2 great- great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Roper and Sons Waverly Chapel (10851 N 148th St, Waverly, NE 68462). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Lincoln Memorial Park (6800 S 14th St, Lincoln, NE 68512). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the CST Peace Lutheran Church (9831 N 145th St, Waverly, NE 68462).
