She was predeceased by : her parents, Nicholas Schmitt and Madeline Schmitt (Matheis); her husband Alex; her stepgrandson Bruce Peterson; and her siblings, Ralph Schmitt (Laurine), Harry Schmitt, Marylene Cordel (Leo) and Lois Gengler (Robert).
She is survived by : her children, Stanley Kohn (Kathleen) of Concordia, KS, Gary Kohn (Susan) of Wilmette, IL, Jeff Kohn (Annette) of Lincoln and Jeanne Keifer (Kerry) of Belden; her siblings, Richard Schmitt (Carolyn) of Cawker City, KS and Maxine Bannister (Ray) of San Lorenzo, CA; and her sister-in-law Phyllis Schmitt of Tipton, KS. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; one step-granddaughter.
